Founder

MAATÏ MAATÏ was founded by Leonie Lepenos.

Origin of the Cork Yoga Mat

In 2016, MAATÏ MAATÏ developed the first cork yoga mat in collaboration with cork producers and farmers.

At the time, most yoga mats were made from PVC or synthetic rubber. Cork had not yet been explored as a surface for yoga practice.
